Two months ago, I took on a challenge of epic proportions. I joined Sarah Arrow’s 30 Day Blogging Challenge!

Writing is my passion — but I hadn’t done much in six years. I wanted to overcome writer’s block, and regain my former spontaneity in writing every day.

I wish I could say that completing the challenge blasted me through the writer’s block and that I’m blissfully writing on a daily basis. It didn’t. I slipped right back into my old habits. Maybe I was looking for an easy fix. What the challenge DID do was show me that I CAN write, even when I don’t feel like it.

Today I begin a new challenge.

31 Days to Build a Better Blog

It’s designed to be done in 31 days — but it doesn’t have to be 31 consecutive days. I am going to take it more slowly, and aim to do it in 90 days. This is what my friend Kim at Just Ask Kim is doing.

I am a couple of weeks behind in starting. But it doesn’t matter. Everything I need for the 31DBBB challenge is contained in two places:

1) The Workbook, 31 Days to Build a Better Blog

2) The Links, on ProBlogger’s Podcast Page

Does your blog need a boost? Do you need clarity on where you are going with your blog? Does this challenge sound at all like something you would like to do?

If you’re not sure, just head over to the podcast page and listen to Darren Rowse’s 31DBBB welcome audio.

If you download the workbook right away, it is 50% off with the coupon code given on the download page. I’m not sure how long that deal will last, so if you’re interested, don’t delay too long in downloading.

Now that I have done Sarah Arrow’s blogging challenge, I know I can do this one! And this one is designed to give me the clarity I so badly need right now. It will also teach me valuable skills to steer my blog in the direction I want it to go.

How about it? Will you join me?

  1. I have never done one of these, mostly because I don’t think I could 🙂 I may try a “half marathon” to see what it’s like, though 🙂

    • I’ve never succeeded at anything like this before, until I did Sarah Arrow’s challenge. But I really need a kick in the pants to get writing again — since I am a writer! I’ll never get published if I continue to follow the path of least resistance that I’ve been following in the past six years.
